Month of Iyar
Tuesday, April 29th – Tuesday, May 27th, 2025
Tribe of Issachar
Iyar/Ziv
The second month of the Hebrew calendar is known as the transitional month and or the bridging month, which links deliverance (Nisan) with revelation (Sivan). Iyar is also known in scripture as the month of Ziv, meaning “radiance” or “light.” Iyar is known as the month of healing, when the Lord declared at Marah (Exodus 15:26): “I am the Lord who heals you.” This month is a hidden gem packed with movement, healing, and insight.
Appointed Times:
Counting the Omer – a time of soul refinement – the entire month.
2nd of Iyar – Start of the Temple – 1 Kings 6:1 “In the fourth year of Solomon’s reign, in the month of Ziv (Iyar), he began to build the house of the Lord.” The Start of the Temple in the OT is a pattern linked to the Ark of His Presence being set up in Houston...in time!! Wednesday, April 30th, 2025.
14th of Iyar – Pesach Sheni (Second Passover) – Monday, May 12th, 2025
3rd - 40th Day in the 1000 Day Cycle of 3.5 Years of Revelation)– What is free? What is new? How am I moving forward? – Tuesday, May 20th, 2025.
Alphabet Letter: Vav –the 6th letter, means hook (like the ones used in the Tabernacle; Exodus 26:32) or connector. Just like a Vav connects words or ideas in Hebrew, this month connects what God has done with what He is about to do. Vav is a picture of restoration and building. How exciting!
Tribe of Issachar:
Iyar corresponds with the tribe of Issachar, known for understanding the times and seasons (1 Chronicles 12:32). Issachar was an interpretive tribe that carried discernment and strategy. In Hebrew, the phrase “understood the times” means they had an anointing to interpret seasons, signs, and shifts. This is crucial in Iyar. As God begins to move His people from deliverance to destiny, He releases Issachar's insight to help leaders, read the spiritual atmosphere, know what to do next, and align others with timing and movement.
Iyar carries a prophetic Issachar anointing. It’s a month to slow down, pay attention, and ask some key questions: “What time is it? Where is the cloud moving? What is God saying about what’s next?” The tribe of Issachar understood this well. They didn’t walk alone, though. They had a special partnership with the tribe of Zebulun, the marketplace tribe. Issachar gave themselves to studying God’s Word, while Zebulun supported them financially. Because of their covenant connection, both tribes walked in blessing (Gen. 49:13-15; 1 Chron. 12:32).
This tells us that Issachar's insight is not just revelatory, it is also resourceful. Strategy that leads to action. Vision that opens provision. We are in a MOVEMENT!
Redemptive Qualities: Progressive Revelation
This is a revelatory month. If you’re listening, God will begin to unfold blueprints, reveal hidden things, and give clarity. It’s a month that God takes what was transitional, bitter, or unclear and begins to transform it into clarity, healing, and purpose.
God uses Iyar to redeem bitterness in our lives – bitter memories, bitter attitudes, and even bitter seasons and transforms them into testimonies of healing and hope.
The people are no longer in Egypt, but they haven’t yet received the Torah at Sinai. It is a wilderness zone, a season where direction is not always clear. God redeems confusion by releasing Issachar insight, clear revelation, prophetic timing, and discernment. He shifts us from wondering “What now?” to hearing “This is the way, walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21). Each step matters. This month teaches faithful following and divine downloads.
God redeems missed moments and delayed obedience with grace and restoration. Iyar is a month that declares, “It’s not too late.” Even if you missed the first wave, there’s still a place at the table. It speaks of a redemptive SECOND CHANCE.
Iyar shifts us from survival mode (wilderness grumbling) into daily trust in supernatural supply. It redeems our dependence on Egypt (man-made systems) and invites us to receive God’s economy, which is new and fresh every morning.
God redeems fleshly habits and begins writing new patterns of obedience into our spiritual DNA. Iyar is about surrendering how we used to live and letting Him form us into people who walk by faith, not by sight.
God redeems the “in-between” by turning it into a place of preparation for the fire to come! It’s there, in the unseen and quiet spaces, that He forms our character, deepens our roots, and seals our identity in Him. What looks like a delay is a divine setup for what’s coming next!
War Strategies:
While I was counting the Omer on day four, I opened to read Joshua chapters 3 through 5, but I never made it past Joshua 3:10.
Joshua said, “By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will, without fail, drive out from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite.”
While I was reading that verse, the Holy Spirit stopped me and asked, “Do you know what these ‘ites’ really mean?” The seven “ites” weren’t just enemies on the battlefield; they represented spiritual mindsets, demonic assignments, and cultural strongholds that stood in the way of God’s rule. Israel couldn’t just step into their inheritance; they had to drive these strongholds out first. The “ites” have to be recognized, confronted, and removed so the Kingdom of God can be firmly established. Redemption awaits us!
Canaanite
Materialism and Greed
· As merchants and traders, the Canaanites represent the spirit of mammon; a culture driven by profit, commerce, and exploitation.
· This spirit corrupts purity with a hunger for gain, selling out righteousness for wealth.
Compromise and Mixture
· They mixed with many nations and gods, representing spiritual compromise and syncretism.
· Syncretism is when God’s people adopt pagan practices, customs, or beliefs and mix them into their worship of the Lord. Leaders using worldly strategies, manipulation, or greed to build ministries, instead of relying on the Holy Spirit.
· It is the spirit behind blending truth with error, or allowing idolatry to coexist with worship of God.
Sexual Perversion
· Their worship was laced with temple prostitution and sexual immorality, so this spirit can also point to a perverse, unclean influence, especially where there’s covenantal unfaithfulness.
Trafficking and Exploitation
· Since the Canaanite root is tied to trafficking, there’s also a spiritual application in areas bound by human trafficking, corrupt markets, or systems of injustice that treat people like commodities.
Canaanite Stronghold
· Compromise in the church.
· Sexual sin or exploitation.
· Economic injustice.
· False motives in ministry (Merchandising the anointing).
Redemption: Restore purity of worship, leadership, and kingdom economy.
Hittite
Spirit of Fear and Intimidation
· This spirit doesn’t just whisper fear it seeks to paralyze, dominate, and stop prophetic advancement through fear, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions.
· When you feel anxious out of nowhere, like a cloud of heaviness or dread comes over you, the city, and or the region, that can be a Hittite atmosphere.
· It often partners with trauma, oppression, or even bullying spirits that intimidate people into silence or passivity.
Hittite Stronghold
· Regions or people groups dealing with chronic fear, PTSD, or anxiety.
· Prophets and Intercessors feeling overwhelmed, silenced, or under mental attack.
· Intimidation in leadership, especially where bold voices are being shut down.
· Strong resistance to forward movement in God’s plan.
Redemption: Faith declarations, bold prophetic decrees, perfect love, because perfect love casts our fear.
Hivite
Deception, False Identity, and Counterfeit Covenant
· This is the spirit that doesn’t attack from the front; it infiltrates from within, by appearing to be harmless, familiar, or even “godly.”
· This spirit brings false agreements, especially when leaders act without discernment or prayer. It offers peace and alliance, but it’s a trap that brings spiritual entanglement.
Hivite Stronghold
· Leaders making ungodly alliances out of sympathy or pressure.
· Counterfeit ministries or voices; they sound good but are not sent by God.
· A spirit of manipulation, usually masked in friendliness or flattery.
· Regions where the Church has entered into political, religious, or cultural compromises.
· Lack of discernment; people operating in goodwill instead of Holy Spirit leading.
Prophetic Warning: The Hivite spirit is subtle, relational, and flattering. It targets leadership, especially prophetic and apostolic leaders, by saying, “Let’s partner!” or “We’re on the same side,” but the motive is compromise and control.
Redemption: Ask the Holy Spirit for the gift of discernment, as this is key! Break off ungodly covenants through repentance and prayer. Leaders must inquire of the Lord first, especially before forming partnerships. Expose and confront deception in love, but with truth.
Perizzites
Lack of Spiritual Covering
· Leaders or believers operating independently of God-given authority.
· People disconnected from the Church or resisting spiritual accountability.
Broken Families or Community Structures
· Areas where fathers are absent, or where the community is fractured with no protection, no discipline, and no unity.
Wounded Identity
· People who don’t know who they are in Christ, or whose they are.
· Open doors to rejection, abandonment, or orphan spirits.
Spirit of Lawlessness
· No respect for boundaries: moral, sexual, or spiritual.
· This shows up in cities with spiritual anarchy, with no fear of God, no honor of covenant, no submission to authority.
Perizzites Stronghold
· Lone-wolf ministries with no oversight or fellowship.
· Families or churches where covering is removed, leaving people spiritually exposed.
· Cities and cultures that reject God’s moral boundaries often in the name of freedom.
Redemption: Reestablish spiritual order, identity, and covering. Declare the Lord’s protection and establish boundaries in prayer. Call the orphan spirit into sonship through reconnection to the Father and healthy leadership.
Girgashite
Carnality, Worldliness, and Resistance to the Supernatural
· This spirit resists faith, vision, and anything that requires stepping out in the Spirit. It wants the Church to live by what is sees, not by what God says.
Pulls People into Natural Thinking
· Only believes what can be seen, touched, or reasoned.
· Rejects the prophetic, supernatural, or anything that requires spiritual discernment.
Produces Dry, Earthbound Worship
· A form of godliness with no power.
· Churches that focus more on tradition or logic than presence and glory.
Feeds on Legalism
· Tries to substitute Spirit-led obedience with rule-based control.
· Often afraid of freedom because it doesn’t fit into neat boxes.
Encourages Spiritual Stagnation
· People get stuck in the past, in systems, or in routine, and resist moving forward into the promised land.
Girgashite Stronghold
· Regions or churches where the supernatural is mocked or shut down.
· Believers who constantly fall back into works, performance, or fear of man.
· Ministries that operate more like businesses than apostolic hubs.
· A critical, analytical spirit that questions everything God is doing.
Redemption: Restore dependence on the Holy Spirit and hunger for that which is eternal.
Amorite
High-minded and Rebellious Speech
· This spirit exalts itself through words.
It speaks against God, against His messengers, and sets itself up in opposition to the knowledge of God.
· This spirit operates through pride, arguments, and rebellion, especially through people who oppose prophetic truth.
Pride and Rebellion
· Leaders or systems that resist correction or challenge God’s authority.
· Spiritual pride – believing they know better than God or His Word.
Verbal Assault Against Truth
· A culture where there is mockery, slander, or resistance to prophetic voices.
· Spirits that attack apostolic/prophetic alignment through words, lies, or accusations.
Strongholds in High Places
· Operating in government, education, or religious systems where some ideologies and policies exalt man over God.
False Prophetic or Counterfeit Authority
· They may “speak” with boldness, but it’s not the Spirit of God; it is self-promotion, manipulation, or control.
Amorite Stronghold
· Regions where pride and rebellion are deeply rooted in the culture.
· Strong resistance to truth-telling, prophetic preaching, or repentance.
· Churches or leaders who speak but do not submit and are more concerned with image than intimacy.
Redemption: Humility is a strong weapon. Tear down verbal strongholds by using the Word to counter lies, accusations, and false teachings. Confront pride with prophetic truth, even when it’s costly. Raise God-fearing voices who don’t speak from ego, but from revelation.
Jebusite
Humiliation, Rejection, Spiritual Oppression
· This spirit’s mission is to trample on identity, crush destiny, and keep God’s people out of their place of rulership.
It Occupies What Belongs to You
· The Jebusites were sitting on Mount Zion, the very place God had chosen as His dwelling.
· Spiritually, this spirit sits on the thrones of influence, and its assignment is to keep believers from occupying their kingdom authority.
It Speaks Rejection
· When David came to take Jerusalem, the Jebusites mocked him.
· The voice of this spirit is shame, humiliation, and accusations meant to stop you before you even start.
It Keeps People Out of Their Inheritance
· The Jebusites held the city of God for centuries. That is no small thing.
· This spirit tries to block revival, delay fulfillment, and silence the throne room sound in a region or leader.
Jebusite Stronghold
· Persistent rejection or shame over a person, church, or territory.
· Believers with spiritual callings but deep identity wounds.
· Cities where there’s resistance to worship, intimacy with God, or authority-based ministries.
· Churches that fear the presence of God where worship feels “trampled down,” not lifted up.
Redemption: Reclaim your identity. Remind yourself or others who they are in Christ. Release prophetic worship; worship is warfare, and it reclaims territory. Confront the voice of rejection with the Word of Truth. Establish the throne of God through prayer and presence.
These seven “ites” aren’t just ancient enemies; they’re patterns of resistance against revival, reformation, and transformation. But here’s the good news: for every “ite,” there’s a promise, and for every stronghold, there’s a Kingdom redemption waiting to be claimed!
Scripture is full of redemptive patterns to help us stay in step with God’s timing. Hopefully, you’re already seeing Holy Spirit unfold them right now. The Issachar anointing helps us interpret the times and seasons, so we can stay on track and keep moving forward. As we stand at the threshold of God releasing His manifold glory, He’s inviting us to seek deliverance and healing from any “ites” that are still trying to resist His triumph in us. That’s why this hidden month is such a precious gift. It’s time to become radiant and full of His light!
Want to hear a covenant secret? Holy Spirit is setting us up for victory! The same God who promised to drive out the “ites” for Israel still holds that promise for us today. He’s brilliant in every way! I can’t help but send up another Hallelujah!
Spiritual Decree: Second Chance at Pesach Sheni
By the blood of the Lamb and the authority of Jesus Christ, I decree this is my Pesach Sheni moment, a divine second chance granted by the mercy of God. What was delayed is now redeemed. What I missed, I now receive. What was broken is being restored.
I decree that the time of regret and disqualification is over.
I declare that by God’s covenant mercy, I am re-aligned with His appointed time, His purposes, and His promises.
I decree a second wave of deliverance, healing, and breakthrough is coming to me and my house.
I declare that the door is open again, and I will not miss it.
I release the blood of the Lamb over every area where I disobeyed, delayed, or was denied, and I declare full redemption and restoration.
God, who made a way for the unclean and the delayed in Numbers 9, is making a way for me now.
I declare I will move forward with boldness, not shame, with purpose, not fear, and with joy, not heaviness.
This is my Pesach Sheni season – a season of second chances, restored inheritance, and fulfilled destiny.
In Yeshua’s name – Amen!

We proclaim that Houston will be known not for its past failures but for its future glory – a city set on a hill, shining brightly with the light of Christ.
In the might name of Jesus, Amen
Prophetic Promises:
God says, “I had to leave Houston at times because they removed the banner I was bringing into them. I will offer them one more opportunity for My banner to sweep the third-largest city in America. I will bring in My Names to that city again, and in bringing in My Names to that city, I will have those who exalt My Name and secure the standard that goes with My Name.
I say, You are entering a moment of securing, and that’s for all five of you. My standard, not asking for it, because today, I say, at this Passover, I’m giving Houston the standard for cities in America. And I say, I will cause a remnant to arise that will secure My standard. Do not look back at things that have happened in the past. Look forward to the places, the places, the places where I will establish My Name, saith the Lord.
